People come, people go........

Ahh....writing after a long long time......but then I'm stuck now.....

People come and people go but you only remember the ones who matter the most...

Some time back when i was a little sad and angry a dear friend of mine had truly said - People come and people go...someday even i shall go and so shall you.....its not like we'll be completely out of touch or something but then we'll be having different priorities in life......

This day I find it true.......everybody isn't here to stay and you can just wish well for those who were once an important part of your life and hope that they are content with their choice.....
Life is never the same without them....and i just hope that the one who I'm missing is leading a great life...

And all this reminds me of a quote -

Many people will walk in and out of your life,
But only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

Your footprints shall always remain in my heart, for sure....

First day as an intern - part 3/3

After that I had nothing to do as the person guiding me was kinda busy with some prior commitments and so I penned down this blog....I know its really crazy.....first I write this and now I'm typing all this!!! And you have to read it :P

Then it was lunch time!!!! Yippppeeeee!!! :D After that I saw a few clients coming in and then a few job seekers and then it was almost time to go :D ........ my dad was to come and pick me........i waited for 30 long mins! under the hot hot sun! but he didn't come! :(( he forgot!!! :(( and so i came back by bus....... was starving by the time i reached home!!! Ate more than I ate in the past 1 week!!!

So, ends the first day......now I'll probably sleep peacefully :D

First day as an intern - part 2/3

I was told to wait for sometime which turned to be around 35 or 40 minutes........I read a very nice and touching article which I'll not forget for a long time and then scanned all the magazines kept there........Finally after the long wait was called by theeeee head and was explained certain things and it all seemed so simple.

For today I just had to do mass mailing which is quite similar to the way those spam mails are dumped in your inbox :))

Khair.......I sketched the outline for my project and was quite happy with it. Then I searched for candidates to fill in the post of java,j2ee programmer something and mailed around 60 people, out of which i'm sure 50 people will trash the mail :( .......... maine kitni mehnat se select all button dabaake ek already created template ko use karke mail kiya tha!!!! :D :D :))

First day as an intern - part 1/3

Since my posts are turning out to be big essays I've decided to split them up :D , but not shorten them :P

Last thing I wished in the night was that, God! please let it be another Sunday tomorrow!! I want to sleep, sleep and sleep!!!

Sigh......my wish wasn't heard by an angel or a fairy and I woke up late on Monday morning! Monday......always had different views about this day. Way back in primary school I kinda disliked Monday and wished for 2 Sundays in a week........... Time changes and so do views........came middle school and I so loved going to school that I wished for no Sunday and either 2 Saturday's or 2 Monday's.......well.......2 Saturday's would be better as we had half-a-day school on Saturday's and most of the time was spent playing and talking rather than studying :D .......... anyways, my views on Monday never changed all through high school.

The point is, I was thinking all this all the way till I reached the place :))

With wobbly feet somehow I managed to enter the lift and instead of pressing the button for 4th floor I pressed 5th floor!!!!.........This is what happens when inter-personal communication takes its toll.......well......I'll save that discussion for another blog.........I entered the office and felt that maybe everything will fall in place and I need to take things as they come........

The much awaited viva!

Project was done and signed by the HOD, we all were excited and almost prepared for the practical exam and the much talked about viva!

Were hoping to get a good external who wouldn't ask any stupid or out-of-the-box questions!!!

Finally the day arrives and we all assemble in the lab with expectant and cute faces :D......I had tried to peep into the sheet which was in madam's hand but she as always had her eyes on me! and even before i could see what exactly it was she was like -- "farheeeeeeeen go and take your place!!!" Sadly i had to go and sit in my place......roll numbers were called out and so were question numbers......i felt like i was gonna die until i got the question paper and saw which question had i got!

The moment i saw the question paper i felt like jumping and shouting!!! :D i got the easiest question!!! ehehehehehe.........was smiling from the time i got the question till i got out of the lab! and after that was going on and on and on about how well the pracs went :D

We all were told to wait in the adjacent room until the external came and he took a real real long time to come!!! he made us wait for almost and hour and a half!!! i ate 2 lays and drank 1 frooti and roamed the entire college twice! met a few friends from other sections :D caught up on all the gossip and came back straight to the class :D.......was exhausted till then!!!

Finally the external arrived and i thought maybe we should've arranged some pooja for his welcome or maybe something like you know aartee for welcoming him......but then it was too late :P

We all had a real niiiiiice time with the external :D it all turned out to be so much fun!

it was like he called 6 students together and made us sit in a half circle........so mine was the second group called and it was swapna,me,sanya, maria, nida and sumayya......the order is from right to left......first he asked - What is your name? and then Give an intro of yourself.......Did you have breakfast? how are your parents? What are your ambitions?........... after asking all this he said - "Now lets get to what you have studied" :)) i had a rough time controlling my laughter!!!! and when maria said in a hushed tone that she didn't eat her entire breakfast the external asked - what did you say??? i couldn't hear you........and at that time i replied - she said she ate only half her breakfast annnnd gulp! he looked straight at me! i was like.......sheeesh what will he say now?!!!! but to my relief he just smiled!!! :))

What he did was he was asking us questions one after another from left to right and in the middle he even asked me - do you know what is a food processor? ........ i said yes then he asked what do you do with a food processor?.......i was trying hard to control my laughter but couldn't stop smiling! and then he got to the point and asked - what is a computer processor??!

Swapna who was sitting beside me was so damn tensed! and i had to hiss some answers when the external was concentrating only on her!......he told her to relax.....i guess about 4 times..... nice examiner......was funny and serious at the same time!!!

So, all in all we all had a real nice time and shall definitely remember this viva and this particular examiner for a long long time........ :)

Hope everybody gets such nice externals :D

The wednesday adventure

It all started with Ramaa telling that she'll surely accompany me to Koti to meet a friend and we'll go to Gokul Chat and then to the CS office on the way back home. I told Ramaa on tuesday that we can go by bus instead of her dio, but no, she said she knew the way and we can make it to the place on time.

Wednesday morning we both met in college......waited for about an hour and a half for the princi to sign on a form and attest it.......had to wait for that long because our princi was on rounds when more than half the students weren't in the college!!

After getting out of college we reached the abids waala road in a short while but got confused there......not my fault!.......i told her take me to big bazaar and i know the way from there! ......nevertheless we reached King Koti instead of Koti!! We were actually lost! because neither of us knew any way from there!.......we then followed the signs and reached main abids and from there to big bazaar :)) bearing the traffic and heat reached women's college and then Gokul! but then we missed the lane in which we had to go to park the dio so had to again go all the way till the signal and take a u-turn......met nidhi there, ate kulfi and spent little time because we had to go to the cs office before it closed!......well......had a nice time eating kulfi......the watchman there was staring at the 3 of us and he even asked Ramaa that if she was here for shopping?! :)) the look on Ramaa's face was priceless! :))

Time to part.......asked the way back home to nidhi twice! and determined to not lose our way started........but there was something else in store for us! At the junction near Karachi bakery we took a left and lo and behold! we reached old city!! Ramaa then told me that she would surely kill me the next time i show her the wrong way!! [not my fault.......the way is confusing]. We managed to reach lakdikapool and then cs office on time......Reached home safely but very tired, though i was only sitting behind and she was the one driving!

At the end of the day Ramaa vowed that she'd never come with me to any place unless i know the exact route! and there ends the short wednesday adventure....

Goodbye to seniors......

This one is for all the seniors who have made this year so very memorable
:)

Finally the academic year has almost come to an end and everybody is busy breaking their heads trying to study the boring and horrible subjects. The time has also come to bid seniors goodbye......this year was definitely eventful! felt like we actually did something during this year!

Enjoyed a lot during the organizing of Jamboree '07, and are very much thankful to the president,vice-president,treasurer,secretaries and all other CHEERs members. The time spent with all was wonderful! We even got trained for how to handle things when they go haywire and how to maintain peace! :P

And not to forget the combined corporate classes :))......... must really thank the seniors for letting us sit in their class and bearing us along with the lecturer's lecture......the best part was when we checked seniors' books when our own books were incomplete!

To sum it all.....we really will miss seniors........wishing all a great life ahead......

Trip to Srisailam

Well.....to start.....i was thinking of how to make my sister's 14th birthday memorable and the phone rings :D, the conversation between me and my cousin starts --

Me : Hi, what's the plan for Sunday? It's afr's b'day.....

She: Yeah, what about the long pending trip to srisailam???

Me: Ahaaan!!! niiiice......

She: ehehehe, yeah.....all is decided.....di just called and she was serious about going there......she even asked her sis-in-law about the bus fare and all......we just need to ask our parents...

Me: OH!!! The difficult part is left out!!

She: ummm.....yeah.....not that difficult coz my mom and others have agreed.....

Me: hmmmm.....oki.....lemme see.....I'll call you back in an hour or so...bbye

And then starts the head-banging business......Finally after lot of pestering mom agrees :D excitement starts building........ Had to leave home by 3:45 in the morning to reach the meeting point by 4:30. Mom's shouting started at 3 itself, "WAKE UP!!! OR WE'LL BE LATE!!" [my mom's favourite sentence]

We somehow managed to reach near the bus on time! and started towards our next destination[malkajgiri]. Some of us who were in the bus decided our places and as always i wanted the window seat so the moment i got into the bus i went to the 2nd last window seat and declared - this place is mine and i shall exchange it with no one :)) to reach our next destination we encountered 2 train gates and to pass the time counted the number of compartments

Picked some other people and finallllly started proceeding towards the highway munching the sandwiches which thankfully my aunt remembered to make. The morning breeze was awesome! and then i realized that there was no glass to my window. All through the way we were doing crazy things like waking anybody who by chance slept by shouting in their ear.....standing in the passage way of the bus and pushing each other....applauding when we saw a cousin's office and another's college :)) Then started the ghat road! lovely view! the way is almost similar to ooty's, just that ooty is a bit more breathtaking. It's like there are two mountains and in the middle deeeeeep down is the big dam constructed across the river krishna.

We stopped at one point to look at the dam. There is no suicide point as such but if one wants they sure can fall from there....totally dead.....We then climbed down one hill and climbed up the other......had lunch....wandered here and there for a while and then went near the boating thing.....u had to either go down to the dam area or boating area through rope way or take the 100 or so steps....those of us who aren't scared of heights went down through the rope way while the others stayed up......the rope way wasn't that scary or dangerous.....the view was wonderful! after getting down we went to the boating area and spent about 30 mins there....... also troubled the other people with us on the boat :))

We took a long time when going up because there was a lot of crowd near the rope way.The other who were waiting for us up were fed up. Finally we reached up and got into the bus again.....saw a few temples on the way.......and then started towards hyd.......now we decided to simply sing songs and sang all the songs we could remember then and not to forget the poems! ....... twinkle twinkle........johnny johnny......chubby cheeks.......piggy on the railway track.......patriotic songs too.......saare jahan se acha.......aii mere watan ke logon........mere desh ki dharti........ and again we were standing in the passage way looking at the way and pushing each other...... Stopped near the tiger reserve just to go and look at the big tiger statue there coz the timings were from morn 11 to evening 4 and it was around 6 then :(

Exhausted after singing so many songs and standing almost for half the way we all sat down and then i realized how very cold it was and we tried to fix a cardboard to the glassless window but even that flew away......somehow managed to bear the cold and shifted places every now and then......ate the cake[was too good].....and drifted to sleep only to be woken up every 5 mins by the bumps! Reached hyd by 11 and by the time we were home it was 12:30 [yes.....there is traffic jam even at 11:30 in the night here]

Finally the much awaited and long pending trip to srisailam came to an end on a very happy note and our plan for the next picnic in summer.

Time is......

Inspired to write my first blog thanks to darth......and here it goes......

Different people have different views about what time is. Though we realize the importance we never respect it.....and while it away like i'm doing now.

The word 'time' makes me remind of a little poem i had written long back sitting in a very boring English class.....the first i ever wrote.....

TIME
The faster the time runs

The faster problems run towards us

Have heard numerous times time is precious

But never payed heed

I wish I could turn the clocks

and make everything straight then

I just wish I had the remote control of time

So that everything that went wrong could be straightened

The faster the time runs

The faster problems run towards us.........

But in the hindsight,

The faster problems run through us...

Its all in the mind....you want the time to run fast and it will, you want the time to run slow and it will do so......
